Lewis Bogaty is a writer and photographer living in New York.
Loves And Entanglements is his 2024 short story collection. His fiction has appeared in Virginia Quarterly Review, Mississippi Review, Descant, Sou'Wester, Another Chicago Magazine, Confrontation, and others. His non-fiction has appeared in Virginia Quarterly Review, Columbia Law Review, and various other magazines and newspapers.
His short story in Kansas Quarterly received a Kansas Quarterly/Kansas Arts Commission fiction award. He has also received a BRIO fiction award from the Bronx Council On The Arts. Loves And Entanglements, in an earlier version, was a semi-finalist in the 2021 Elixir Press Fiction Award competition.
His photographs have been exhibited in solo and group shows, most recently in Upstream Gallery's 2024 national juried photography show. His images have appeared in the New York Times and other newspapers, magazines and corporate publications. His prints are owned by institutions and private collectors.
He holds a Ph.D. in English and a law degree, and was an editor on the Columbia Law Review.
